I have what living in my intestines?

You'll never think of yourself the same way again after reading this Science article on the gut. Check out the issue in general--it has some great information in there. There is also the article on Arctic Foxes, seabirds, and vegetation on the Aleutian Islands that is an excellent example of top-down effects.

Ecosystem Ecology and Remote Sensing

Hey guys, I thought you might find some of these remote sensing links interesting. They compliment the material on ecosystem ecology and biogeochemistry. The first is one we'll see in class that shows oceanic NPP and a bunch of other interesting ocean sites (here too).

If you're interested in radiation budgets, there are some amazing images and data available at the University of Maryland site.

Also, check out more information on intercontinental dust transport.
